One year, one post.

Alright, so this is embarrasing. I have written just one post so far. I should really get back to my writing. Looks like a resolution, right here. So expect more posts in the coming weeks. What actually made me remembre I still have thiss acount was a recent post by Sam Hulick, who you may recognize for writing music for video game Mass Effect, latest Baldur’s Gate Enhanced Edition or Conclave. He decided to transcribe his song “Lost in you” written for Mass Effect’s DLC Citadel into sheet music, just for fans, totally free. Go get it here http://xfer.me/lysm and check Sam’s Tumblr page here http://samhulick.tumblr.com/

Quests

So how do you motivate yourself to make better and more interesting music and sound? I have an idea to dedicate each week to a certain area of music. One week I focus on all different bass sounds and how to achieve them. Another week I focus on drums and so on. Giving myself those quests should help me improve.

Massive Synth -

NI Massive Synth

Since this is supposed to be all about music related stuff, the very first post will be a link to a website dedicated to a single soft-synth, Massive by Native Instruments. You can find lots of patches (both free and paid), thoughts and lately also tutorials comfortably on one place. Highly recommended for anyone interested in this particular synthesizer or in music synthesis in general.
